According to the Bible,
How should we develop our mind?
Romans 12:1 & 2

2 Corinthians 10:3 - 6

I.    Our relationship with God needs to influence the way we think.
        Romans 12:1 & 2        Romans 8:5 & 6        Colossians 1:21 &22

You have freedom to do what you want but God does have expectations.

    1.    Don't "conform to the pattern of this world" any longer.

Our refusal to conform to this world's values, however, must go
even deeper than the level of behavior and customs.  It must be
        firmly planted in our mind.

    2.    "Be transformed by the renewing of your mind".  It is possible to
avoid most worldly customs and still be proud, covetous, selfish,
stubborn and arrogant.  Only when the Holy Spirit renews, reeducated,
and redirects our mind are we truly transformed.        Romans 8:5 & 6

    3.    We must direct our mind in all things.
        Colossians 1:21 & 22

II.    We must protect our minds from wrong things.
        2 Corinthians 4:3 - 4    2 Corinthians 11:3 & 4

Almost everything battles for control of your mind.

    1.    As Christians, we should have the "mind of Christ".
        1 Corinthians 2:15 & 16

III.    We must connect our minds to the right things.

    1.    The Christian mind is characterized by purity and truth.
        Philippians 4:8 & 9

        A.    Refocus our minds.
            Colossians 3:2        Romans 8:6

        B.    Refill our minds.
            Romans 6:20 - 23

        C.    Renew our minds.
            Ephesians 4:23 & 24

Whatever controls your mind controls you.
