Romans 12
Living in Light of Truth
I. The commitment of the believer's life. (vs. 1, 2)
The responsibilities we have to God. We are to have a total mental and physical
commitment to God.
A. Submitted to the work of God. (v. 1)
B. Shaped by the word of God. (v. 2)
C. Seeking the will of God. (v. 3)
II. The cooperation with the believer's life. (Vs. 3-8)
Our responsibility to God is always accompanied with a responsibility to His family.
A. Our relationship in the body. (Vs. 3-5)
B. Our resources in the body. (v. 6)
C. Our responsibility in the body. (Vs. 6-8)
III. The conduct in the believer's life. (Vs. 9-21)
Paul touches three (3) areas of the believer's life.
A. Our affection. (vs. 9, 10)
B. Our actions. (Vs. 11-16)
C. Our answer. (Vs. 17-21)
Romans 12, teaches us as believers our nature is opposite from the world's nature. We are
distinct because we belong to God. That relationship affects every activity of our lives.
