A Walk Boasting in the Cross of Christ
Galatians 6:11-18

I.    Young-New believers may boast in many things.                Galatians 6:13-14


II.    True ministers young and old boast in the cross of Christ.
    Matthew 10:38        Matthew 16:24        Romans 6:6        Galatians 2:20   

1.    The cross crucified believers to this world.  When Christ becomes our First Love  we no longer lust for the worlds attractions:                Galatians 6:14
            position        recognition        honor           
power            money        possessions
acceptance        pleasure        mans praise


    2.    The cross creates a new man.                        Galatians 6:15
            John 3:3-6        2 Corinthians 6:17
            1 Peter 1:23        1 John 5:1
            Acts 2:38


    3.    The cross brings mercy and peace.                    Galatians 6:16
        When we walk/live by the rules of the cross and the rules of the new man we
        receive:
            The peace of God        Isaiah 26:3        Philippians 4:7
            The mercy of God.      His forgiveness and acceptance.


    4.    The cross gives purpose to the scars of life.                Galatians 6:17
        The believer who suffers reproach, ridicule, mockery, and other persecutions
        because of his stand for Christ - that believer bears the marks of Christ in his
        body.
