III. David's, Able Protector (v 4) is also his abundant Provider. (vs. 5 & 6)
In the final scene of this Psalm, we see that believers will dwell with God.
God, the Perfect Shepherd and Host, promises to guide and protect us
throughout life and to bring us into His home forever.
A. As a gracious Host, God provides all that we need. (vs. 5 & 6)
1. Food (table) Protection (presence of my enemies)
2. Blessings (anointing with oil)
3. God gives more than enough. "My cup overflows"
B. As a Gracious Host, God provides unlimited favor to those He Shepherds.
1. Goodness: well favored.
2. Mercy: love, loving kindness.
3. "All my days of this life". His blessings shall follow me all my life long,
even to the last; for whom God loves He loves to the end and forever.
4. Dwell in the house of the Lord (God's house) forever. Eternity, in our
Father's house above, where there are many mansions.
