You are free to choose between two masters
SIN or JESUS
Romans 6
The wages of sin is eternal death. That is all you can expect or hope for without Christ. By choosing Christ as your master, you receive His gift of eternal life, a new life with God that begins on earth and continues forever with God.
What has God done about our sin?
I. God has given us new life.
1. Sin's power has been broken. Romans 6:2-3
2. Sin-loving nature is buried. Romans 6:4
3. Now you share His new life. Romans 6:5
We can be certain that sins power is broken.
II. God has given us a new nature.
1. You are no longer under sins control. Romans 6:6
2. Look upon your old self as dead and unresponsive to sin.
Romans 6:11
We can see ourselves as unresponsive to the old power and alive to the new.
III. God has given us new freedom
1. Do not let sin control you. Romans 6:12
2. Give yourselves completely to God. Romans 6:13
3. Sin is no longer your master, you are free. Romans 6:14
4. We all are free to choose our own master. Romans 6:16
We can commit ourselves to obey Christ in perfect freedom.
