Praise the Lord!
Psalm 150:6
I. Praise is giving thanks to God for who He is.
Psalm 9:1; Psalm 22:3; 146:1 & 2; 147; 148; 149; 150
II. Praise is saying thanks to God for each aspect of His divine nature.
Luke 19:37-40
a. Our inward attitude becomes outward expression.
b. We expand our awareness of who God is in our everyday life.
III. Praise is focusing our hearts on God, allowing Him to control our whole being.
"My mouth will speak the praise of the Lord…"

IV. Praise is thanking God for His many gracious gifts.

V. Praise is a spiritual offering: We are a living sacrifice. We bring Him a sacrifice of
praise.
The best medicine for despair is praise.
Isaiah 43:1 & 2 Isaiah 61:1-3
We have a choice according to Isaiah 61:3, we can replace the spirit of
heaviness with the garment of praise.
VI. Praise is thanking Him for our salvation.
Many Christians are intimidated by public praise. Rule of thumb: If we are
afraid or embarrassed by public praise we probably don't spend much time
in private praise.
"You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free."
John 8:32
He is present in the praise of His people.
So will you give Him praise or must the rocks cry out?
