Worship Service
Our Worship and Music Ministry is led by Burt Jeffords.

Our Music Ministry is rapidly growing, and has several areas where you can come in and worship with us.

Adult Choir - Our Adult Choir sings every week in Sunday Morning services.  They prepare special musicals for holidays and sing frequent specials as well. This group is open to all.

Praise Band/Team - This church members' group is the auditioned group that leads our Sunday services.

Members of the music ministry at SVBC understand that it is a ministry to reflect glory to Christ, not absorb the glory for ourselves. We are humble in the fact that Christ has died for us and given us the ability and the talents to sing His praises and to lead others into doing so. Our sole boast is of the Lord our God and his awesomeness and love for us.

Frequently Asked Questions about SVBC's Music Ministry:

What is Sugar Valley's musical style?

We are blended, leaning towards contemporary. Our music selection features a wide range of styles, including southern gospel, contemporary, and liturgical. Our music services are upbeat and are totally focused on worshipping and adoring our Savior, Jesus Christ.

I have to be able to sing to be in the choir, right?

Wrong! All you need is a smile, willingness to work, ability to laugh at our many mistakes, and consistency in attendance.

What instruments are on the stage?

We have a piano, saxophone and electric guitar player.  We would love to find a keyboard player and someone who can play the drums. The praise band and adult choir helps lead Sunday morning worship.

Do you have groups perform concerts at SVBC?

Absolutely. We have groups from Southern Gospel up to contemporary in style.

We'd love to have you get involved in the Music Ministry at Sugar Valley Baptist Church. For more information, please contact the church office.

All songs are viewable on the large screen in the center of sanctuary as well as all Bible passages used during the message.  The King James version is the main version used during sermons, however other translations are used in order to get a different viewpoint or idea of exactly what the passage is portraying.

Each service is available in DVD upon request through the church office and we are now publishing them on our web site as well.
